Rain, Rain and more Rain

It has been glorious to have some rain in these neck of the woods lately. The bum deal is that I am feeling trapped inside.
On Monday I went to the mall to pick up my free book I earned with my Library Summer Reading program. Tuesday I went to Gymboree open gym and today I went to a puppet show at a local library that was about Jack and the Beanstalk...TEXAS TALE style. I really liked it and paid pretty good attention, thanks to a couple of graham bunnies. After my nap, Mom and I played outside in the rain for a bit, I loved that...but got kinda chilly.
Here is a picture from Sunday right before the storms hit...I got one last hurrah in the sprinkler frog!!

And here I am eating one of my new favorite in season items: Corn on the Cob!!!

As you can tell...since mom was told to pull me off all milk, I am gettin after the food again big time. Last night for dinner I ate:
about 1/3 of a filet of salmon
corn on the cob
cous cous and spinach
5 baby carrots
about 1/4 C blueberries and
some yogurt for dessert...I slept GOOD last night.
This morning breakfast was:
1/2 piece of toast, a banana, 1/2 pkg of oatmeal and some of mom's bagel and some blueberries and some cherrios!!!
We are still amazed at how much I eat and don't gain much weight. I think tomorrow am mom and me are going to make some more oatmeal/blueberry cookies...I love them and mom makes em real healthy for me. We aren't real sure what we are going to do when blueberries are out of season!! Mom ought to look into freezing some, because I LOVE THEM.
Here are some of the latest and greatest things I can do these days:
Go up and DOWN the stairs swiftly and safely
Follow simple directions such as:
Put this in the garbage please
Take this to Cheddar, please
Come here (when I am in another room)
Close the cabinet please
and a bunch more that i can't think of right now!!
I can also pick up my toys and put them in a bucket, say thank you in sign language, say please all the time, will stop doing things when asked, and can change my course of direction and/or actions when asked if I "need to take a break"...which means I am fixin to have to go to my pack and play for not doing what I am supposed to.
We are supposed to have yet one more day of rain, so our yard will be happy...I will keep you posted if anything exciting happens.

bouncing around

Today started with my swimming lessons again. It was just me and dad, the boys on our own. I learned how to jump off the side of the pool and put my head all the way under!! I also tried to blow bubbles, but wasn't so great at it. I have no problem putting my face in, I just don't get the whole bubble blowing deal yet. At least I have a homework assignment for the bathtub! I am bummed though because my teacher Hamilton is going back to college this week and I will have a new instructor next Saturday.

We got this from our neighbor and since it was cloudy out today, we decided to test it out. Mainly we wanted to see how big it was and if I liked it before I had any friends over to check it out with me! Well, after a cord repair from dad and some spider clearings...we fired it up. I liked it okay but was "all done" with it in about 10 minutes. BUT as you can see, it is the perfect size for me and some friends and even a mom to help us out. My fat pregnant mom did NOT get in. She could decidedly not climb over or crawl through the small opening!! So much for burning some segments during the day alone!

Swim Lessons and Dad's Day

What a busy Saturday I had!!
I went to my swimming lessons super early, here are a few shots of me and dad in the pool. Grant and Mr. Rogers are in our class too, so that was fun to have a buddy along side me in the pool! I did really well, but was WAY ready to be done after my 35 minute lesson. I kept signing to mom that I was "all done". My teacher's name is Hamilton and is a nice guy. We sang some songs that I know from Gymboree and then practiced moving our arms and legs and then floating on our backs...as chilled out as I am, of course that was not a problem. I am the youngest kid in my class, most of the kids are 2 or 2 1/2. SO all things considered, I did really great.

THEN...Dad and I went to REI to spend our adventure time there! I loved it. I ran around all over the store. I even got to sit in a kayak!

Dad bought me some freeze dried mangoes, him some freeze dried ice cream, Cheddar a new bird to play with, and Mom a new caribeaner. After that we met mom for lunch at Chipotle...I love that chicken bowl and some black beans!!!
Hope you had a day half as fun as me!!

All over the map

Hi there! Sorry it has been so long, I honestly don't even know how long! We have been super busy and active trying to keep up with me. Lots of stuff has happened, and continues to keep us busy during the day. Since I last filled you in, I have gotten a haircut, gone to lots of gymboree classes, went to a birthday party for 2 of my buddies, gone to the splash park a lot, and of course played all day inside with my dog. SO really I guess we are super busy doing the same old thing, so there hasn't been that much to tell. Yesterday I had a lot of fun with my Dad. We spent the whole day together running errands and playing. I got to go next door and see the big kids play in the pool and waterslides and met a new puppy Buster, whom I loved. I have been sleeping like a champ lately and this weekend was only taking one nap a day. I am vacillating between one and 2 naps a day, so sometimes our schedule is a bit off. But, as always, I am still generally really happy and fun to be around.
Here are some hightlights...this first picture was taken by Jackson's mom at the birthday party. She is a photographer and sent it along to mom. Thanks Mrs. Tegtmeyer! We can't wait to book a photo shoot soon!

At my hair cut, I did NOT like the cape on me and I was working on no nap. Good bye Farrah Fawcett wings and Shawn Cassidy wanna be...

Here's to not being called a girl anymore!!! :0)It took a LOT of convincing to Grandma and Dad, but thanks Mom for being in my corner.

We do this a lot

Obviously. Am I a poster child for why every little boy should have a puppy or what?

Happy Birthday Guys! I had a fun time at the party and I LOVE my playdough!
