Gearing up for the weekend!

Hi there! Thought i would try to check in one more time before the rush of the weekend starts!
I am talking up a storm now a days and motoring everywhere. My eating is through the roof. Grandpa was over for dinner Tuesday night and he could not believe that I ate so much salmon, rice and asparagus! I also have recently tried some lentils and am okay with edamame again...it doesn't gag me. I love my blueberry waffles in the am.
You can see how much I love eating. My newest game is to smush all the stuff in my hair...luckily for mom this is usually only a dinner time ritual, so they let me go for it. Our routine goes straight to the tub after that soooo I figure no harm, no foul. I am sure there will be some correction later on...but for now I laugh it up.

Yesterday mom was emailing a good friend a bunch of junk and I kept trying to hit the keys on the laptop. I was quite a pest. So, she finally busted out my computer for me. Dad did the One laptop per child program where you buy a child in Africa a computer (backed by Gates) and during the time he did it, he got one free for me too! It is a cool little deal. It is only 9 x 9 and runs on Linux or Lennox...or whatever. It does a lot of stuff, I have no idea how or what it is, but I sure did love looking at the screen all lit up, punching buttons, moving the mouse, and pulling the power cord out of the monitor. Can you tell my dad knows technology? What other 10 month old has his own dang computer? Mom just thinks it is cute...that is all she cares about it. Here I am working away!

And I got another picture with me and my wonderful grandpa! We have had a good time hanging out and getting to know each other. He's pretty neat!

Also, the weather has been wonderful. Me and mom spend the afternoons out back. I walked all the way to the back of the yard with her to check out the tree. I really like feeling the bark and pulling leaves off of things! Which is proving to be problematic for mom since she just re-planted the flower bed by the patio! Silly woman, boys don't care about flowers!!! Just pulling them apart.

Checking in!

Hello there! Just got a few minutes to check in and say hello. Probably won't be long at all. Not a super ton to tell. Saturday we planted flowers and Grandpa came in and it was SOOO fun to see him. He looks wonderful. You would never know he was knocking on that door just a few weeks ago. We are all very thankful! I have really enjoyed chatting it up with him! Yesterday we went on a walk together. It was a very special time.

Sunday I got my pictures taken. It was a lot of fun and our photographer was so fun. As soon as we get our previews, I will have mom put the link on the website so you guys can check them out. Because of that, mom totally forgot to take a 10 Month Picture of me and that monkey, so we will have to improvise. So here are a couple:

Last week was my Aunt Diane's birthday, so I wanted to give her a shout out...here's a pic. Other than that...things are rolling right along.

Here is a picture of my first REAL rainbow. Mom has been teaching me about God's promise to us and it was cool to see right after we read my Noah's Ark book.

Also, it wouldn't be right to not let you know that I have found something new and fun to tear into...yep, I found some open cabinets and this one had stuff I could throw all over the kitchen! Good times.

Aunt Sue is doing much better after her dr. appt. and all is going well. Mom works M,T, W this week, so it is a busy week. Hopefully we can get some time in to enjoy the weather before the storms hit again!

Tomorrow I get to go to Gymboree. Not sure what is on the docket for Friday. Saturday I get to spend the day with Oma, Opa and Aunt Sue. Mom and dad are going to the Byron Nelson. They are excited to see the newly designed course. Dad hasn't ever been. His boss got them tickets to the corporate tent on 18. It will be interesting to hear his comparison to the Masters. We are interested in seeing his take on tournament days vs. practice rounds. He is completely aware that the course will not match up to Augusta at all!!!

Home at Last!

We are finally home and back into something resembling a routine again. The plane ride home was not nearly as successful as the ride there, but I did do really well with take off and landing. I just pulled one of my "I don't want to nap" fights with myself for about 45 minutes.
I could catalog the rest of the week for you, but I think I will just put captions under the pictures and you can hopefully get a good idea of what we did! We are glad to be back. I did however pitch myself some pretty big fits upon returning home. I got pretty dang used to being the Sultan of the Condo with my every desire granted 24/7. Reality kinda stinks to come home to!! I am also now sleeping through the night, mom and dad let me cry it out a couple nights. 2 times up the first night, 1 time up the second night, then from there...snoozing all night, brutha! Not bad. Hope it lasts. Mom thinks I may be going through a growth spurt again because I slept a LOT yesterday.
SO here we go....Vacation pictures!

Me and Oma and Opa in Harbor Town. Our first day to see the lighthouse. We have pictures of that, but I am much more fun to look at than a lighthouse!

Getting ready to go to Savannah in my Payne Stewart hat. Those southern folks thought I was the cat's meow!

Me and Oma in Savannah

Mom and me petting a horse in downtown Savannah. He was BIG! Dad isn't a fan of them, so mom took me to pet him.

After dad and Opa played golf, we went to look at some swampy museum place...it was a very dreary and cold day.

That afternoon hanging around the condo. I didn't want to give up my menus so I picked this duck up with my mouth!!! I am a pretty good multi-tasker, apparently.

Mom and Dad at the Master's. Got their picture taken with one of the workers...they wore some hard hats...they were THRILLED to get in the pic and give up the hat!

Mom's favorite part of the day...Ben Crenshaw, Jim Furyk, and Mike Wier all teeing off on hole 2, betting on the hole and picking the tee order! Pretty cool.

Opa teaching me tricks while mom and dad are in Augusta...ain't it great?

Me and Dad on a down day at the beach in our Gilligan hats. It was a bit too cold that day, so we went up to the pool for a bit instead. We lounged around that day for the most part.

Me and Opa getting ready to go to Harbor Town to watch dolphins!

Looking up at the boat to board it...are you sure I gotta go on that thing?

On the dolphin tour!

The way I spent most of the tour because I was crabby and fighting a nap, we told folks we were going to "walk the plank"...secretively I think those people wanted me overboard!

Do I look like I need a nap? Never took one until we got OFF the boat. Then I slept through lunch...which was kinda nice for everyone else to be able to eat without the octopus around!
Obviously, the trip had a lot more to it, but dad's camera takes high resolution pictures and it takes a LOOOONG time to upload. Mom got tired head. Plus, Hopsing takes a LOT of pictures to sift through. Since this is going to be a book for me someday...mom just cut it off here. If she has time, she will make a photo album on Snapfish or something and will email it out to you if you are interested. Just email her and let her know. It'll probably get done in June!!! :0)

We have a busy week ahead. My Aunt Sue comes in town tomorrow and my Grandpa comes in town this weekend. SO we should have some fun pictures of me and them soon. Mom starts back tutoring tonight, so the vacation is really over!!!
I'll check back with you soon.

Travelin, Travelin Man

Hi there! I just wanted to pop in and check in on everyone! We are here in Hilton Head and I am having a blast! My daddy and Opa are golfing right now, so I don't have any pictures to upload because Hopsing took the camera to the course with him, but I will try to get some up later today of all my newest escapades. I am excited to say that I did FANTASTIC on my plane ride. I was asleep in my sling while boarding, and woke up as we were taxiing down the runway. I drank a tiny bit of water through a straw while ascending and descending, but other than that it was mostly uneventful. I was a really good boy considering I had no afternoon nap and we didn't land in Savannah until 9:30. Meltdown occurred around 11:00 on the drive to Hilton Head in the ram shackled car seat the rental agency doles out! We aren't real sure how that meets ANY safety standards and are wondering why we even have it, but that is the only glitch in the trip so far!!
Saturday we went out and about after my morning nap to do some checking in at the resort (since we got in so late) to get our pool passes and workout room cards and check into renting bikes and tennis equipment! Then we went to the lighthouse on the island, had lunch, walked on the pier, looked at the boats in the marina, went to some cockamamie time share schpiel (but it got dad and Opa free green fees for the week, so for 45 minutes, not that bad). By the time we got all that done, it was almost time for the Final Four to start and I was punch drunk tired because...yep...you can guess the next line...I didn't nap all day!
Yesterday morning after breakfast we walked down to the beach and I got to stand/walk in the sand and surf. I sure do see why my mom is in love with the beach. I found it pretty dang cool. I was a hit on the shore with folks passing by. We got some decent pics, but I was in my jammies and onsie, so we will have to get more with me in my suit and actually playing. The water was cold though...my feet turned red like I was icing them down. Then, home for my morning nap that I did NOT want to take..but thank goodness they made me because...again, fill in the typical statement...it was the ONLY nap I took that day. Next, we drove back into Savannah for the trolley tour and spent the day there. I wore my Payne Stewart hat and was the hit of the town. We saw an amazing church, cool cemeteries, I got to pet a big horse. The town was really cool it reminded everyone as a cross between Boston and Nantuckett...both places I'd like to see...hint hint mom and dad. After we all ate a very late lunch, I was about done for the day. We loaded up and I slept in the car for about 20 minutes...ah, sweet short slumber. Then immediately home to bath and bed!
Not sure what today holds, but I will fill ya in as soon as I catch a break in the action...I will also con daddy into putting up a couple pics that highlight the days!

On The Move!!

In the past 3 days, I have cut 2 more teeth!! It has been a rough couple of days, but finally we may be getting a break. We think I have one more coming in on top soon. We are PRAYING that it hits before Friday when we leave for our trip!
Here my first tooth is in full glory...BTW, I LOVE TO EAT!!

Practicing for my trip in my new (slightly used...dad hates it) umbrella stroller for the trip...I think it is gonna be GRAND!

Speaking of, I probably won't be checking in too much, but will try to upload some pictures when I can! We leave out Friday night and we are also praying that I SLEEP on the flight. We discovered that we actually booked the flight we DIDN'T want so we are going to start of the vacation with what you folks like to call a lesson in flexibility. Once we land in Savannah, we will have about an hour and half drive to Hilton Head. We hopefully will have my infant seat in the car ready to roll, but for some reason I bet the rental company is not that prepared. SO...we are taking the sling on the plane in hopes that I sleep right through all the potential hub bub. Once we get to the condo, we are HOPING that the crib is there...so all we have to do is put MY SHEETS on it (mom is grossed out by hotel sheets enough for all of us) and sleep...hopefully they have put the mattress way down for me too..otherwise daddy is gonna be doing some alterations and mom is planning on packing a screwdriver just in case. I am glad my mom was a teacher and is trying to predict all the things that can go wrong and have answers ready for us!
I'll keep you posted on my teeth!

Do you think I have "the KNACK"?? I was entertained by this little circus block for 30 minutes trying to figure out how the pieces inside are moving.
