Back in the swing of it all

I have been busy this week trying to get back into the swing of life again. Monday I got to make up a gymboree class that I missed last week. Went again on Thursday.
Tried to go to library time Wednesday, but the program is done for the summer...which stinks for mom! BUT we went to return my library books that we due any way and then I checked out a few more. Then mom took me to a splash park not far from the house. I had a good time. We were apparently the only ding dongs willing to venture out at 1:00 pm in the heat! SOOOO we had the whole place to ourselves. I loved running around from fountain to fountain.

Chillin out in my shades and eating a snack after running around for almost an hour straight.

And a HUGE shout out to Parker Post for the aqua shoes she gave me! They are perfect for me and I still will be able to wear them for a while cause they are a little big, but I LOVE THEM. I have a new love affair with shoes! I LOVE THEM. Definitely got the shoe gene from both mom and dad. I carry them around the house, I ask mom to put them on, I try to put them on myself. I go get them whenever I don't have a phone or remote in my hand. So mom is now on the hunt for some cool, cheap shoes. Who knew they were this much fun. I feel like such a big boy in them!!
Also, here is a pic of me and my cousin John. I met him and Oma at the mall a couple weeks ago for a horsey ride. I love that thing too. As a matter of fact, there isn't a whole lot that I don't love these days. I am pretty chilled out and happy most of the time.

Trying to stay cool!

Well, we are well into the 100 degree mark this summer and we are trying to find things to do and stay cool. Last week wasn't such a problem because I had to stay in my house all week. Mom got a wicked flu bug and had to go to the ER for some IV drips and then my dad caught a modified version of it. So...they were sick in bed. Dad missed a couple days of work and mom was down pretty much from Tuesday til Friday...so that was my boring week. Thank goodness that I have 2 grandmas that live close that love to play with me! They helped a LOT on Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday we went into quarantine mode so no one else got sick. SOOO I don't have too much to tell you. here are a couple pictures of the events of last week.

I constantly hang out on the stair landings...Mom hopes that it is not a fascination of being seen through bars because that would not bode well for my future. There is a mirror that I laugh at myself in though...hopefully that is the draw.

I get to eat my afternoon snacks at the big table now, mom is in the process of finding the perfect catch all place mat for me. (okay, this one was a saltine because that is all mom and dad ate for a couple of days...usually I get much healthier stuff, but I REALLY wanted those crackers and they didn't have the energy to fight back that day!!).

This frog goes to my pool, but for a quick cool-off and not much hassle it does the job on its own!

A Few of my Favorite Things

Hi there! You would not believe how much I am doing nowadays. I am RUNNING around everywhere with my new found freedom in walking. Mom and Dad are needing to get more outlet covers because I have discovered several new rooms and I am going to get a new room for myself soon. The big shift has begun!!
I finally cut 2 more teeth, so these pictures are all drooly.
Here are a few of my new favorite things to do:

Talk on the phone, or anything that beeps. Notice that I also like to stand on the couch...we gotta fix that one!

EAT WITH A SPOON ON MY OWN!!!

Play with my puppy (but you already knew that)!

RUN to my Cheddar and head butt her (I head butt a lot of things these days).
I also got my very first new pair of real shoes yesterday at the mall with mom and Oma. I was a really good boy. I'll tell mom to take pictures to show you!

Dazed, but not Confused

I had a great time at Oma and Opa's house Thursday night. I did sleep really well...imagine that after not sleeping more than 20 minutes that day!! Mom and dad came over Friday morning and we loaded up and went to the parade! We got deluxe seats at Uncle Troy's house since he invited his Sunday School class over for a picnic. He was really nice and let us share the shade with them! Then, we saw Gran, Rick and 3 of the Sartor kids (well, 2 are adults already!!!) and they sat with us too. That was LOTS of fun. Ched went with us and got to play with her new cousin Skittles. It was funny to see her act like the old dog instead of the fun puppy. I didn't hardly recognize her. She was really good though. I LOVED the parade. Waving my flags and clapping at EVERY float that came by. Dad made the comment that he was really surprised at how much I liked it.

Me and dad on the way to the parade, I started waving my flags EARLY and kept it up all day!

Us with Uncle Troy and my cousins at their house, thanks again guys!!!

Me, Daddy and Rick checking out some of the floats!! You can even see my shiner where I bit it on the tile the day before!!!
Later that day we went to Mr. Jones' place to swim in the pool and eat dinner. It was a lot of fun, and despite the incredible lack of sleep in my life, I wasn't too bad. Pitched a couple fits, but mostly because I wanted to play with Bailey the 150 lb St. Bernard...she was really cool.

HOT summer days!

Well, we have hit some real scorchers lately. We have had some fun days the last week too!
Last Friday I went and met a bunch of my friends at the mall to play, then we ate lunch together and then played some more! Happy Birthday to Lily who's mom Mrs. Butler brought us all cupcakes. I won't even begin to tell you where mom found bits and pieces of that cupcake...but it was sure GOOD!! I even got to go on the carousel again with Jackson and Thorne. Mom, of course forgot the camera. She has been doing that a lot lately.
Saturday I got to hang out with Oma and Opa all day and night. Mom and Dad went to Ft. Worth for a date night. I did really well with Oma and didn't really even miss them a bit! Poor Oma forgot how to change the TV station that night, so I am sorry you probably had to watch NASCAR all night Oma!!!
Sunday I was really tired and we just did some family stuff after mom and dad got back in town. They were much nicer to be around, they should go away more often!!
This week so far I have gone to Gymboree and then yesterday, I got to have some friends over to swim with me. We had a GREAT time. Thanks to Mrs. Parnell (Nathan's mom) we have pictures to show for it. I think my mom needs to take lessons from her about photo ops!!!
Anyway, here are some of Mrs. Parnell's shots that show the days activity.

Here we all are: Lily, Paige, Christopher, Nathan, Thorne, and me

Another shot of all of us, isn't she good??!!!

Most of us migrated to Oma's tiny pool...looks like it was a hit...we all shared very nicely together. We're all good buds, huh?

FINALLY, we got some snacks after all the fun.

You'd have thought I would have slept like a champ when they left...NOPE! I took a short hour nap and was miserable the rest of the day. So much so that I didn't even want to go to bed (I missed my Daddy too). I threw up and wouldn't go back down. Mom thinks she fed me too much and then I got too worked up. WELL, she had a time of it changing sheets, changing me, cleaning puke, and all that stuff. She really missed Daddy's help. Looks like he is gonna be working a lot here in the near future on one of his new parts, so we better start to figure it all out, me and her!

I may go to the library today for a bit and then tomorrow back to Gymboree. I am going to spend the night at Oma and Opa's on Thursday since they live on a parade route (whatever that is) and mom and dad will join up with us for the Parade.
Have a Happy 4th of July and Thank you God for this wonderful country we live in. Thank you Uncle Billy for serving in our Military to keep us all safe!
OH also, last week we went to the doctor to see the baby. I was tired and hungry, so it could have gone a bit better...BUT they did tell us (and it is still early) that I am going to have a baby BROTHER...lots to process on that one!!
