Good to be Home
Let the fun begin!! Here we are burning some time at DFW before we left.
It is so good to be back home in my own bed! We had a great time up in Wisconsin. The land is beautiful up there...key word...LAND; wide open spaces, farms, apple orchards, trees, hills, and very little traffic! I had a blast with all my cousins. My oldest cousin Chris gave me a toy Luke Skywalker
Dani brought her puppy to see me, Matt and Taylor played with me every day and we picked lots of raspberries off their bush
Syd and Jordy were my 3rd and 4th parents ...we did tons of stuff with them. I got to watch Syd's softball game,
(well, really I ran like a crazy kid down big hills and fell face first into dad)
play with all of Jordy's webkins, they taught me how to play Wii bowling (so dad finally had his excuse to go buy a 4th one yesterday for "the family"), went to a pumpkin patch, rode a pony...LOTS LOTS LOTS.
I never really realized how boring my daily life in Texas was!!
Mom, dad and I went to the zoo one day...I LOVED IT and we are planning more trips to the zoos here in town soon. My favorite were the fish and monkeys, but my arm was outstretched the whole time saying "oooohhhhh!"...some folks thought I was actually an attraction there instead of the animals.
I even got to hit one Gymboree class the last day there before we went to see Grandpa. Mom is going to try and make a couple Smilebox slide shows to connect you to.
The bum deal about the whole trip is my Grandpa actually had a mini stroke and was in the hospital the whole time. He is doing better than last March for sure and is currently in the rehab unit at the hospital doing lots of OT and PT to get better to go home. I got to go see him a couple times and was a very good boy. It is such a blessing that my Grandma's house is sold and she is headed up there in 3 weeks to help take care of him...he certainly is past the point of being able to live alone and is excited to have the company.
All in all, I am one of the most blessed little boys in the world to have such an awesome family. They all love me very much and I can't wait to see them again. Of course, mom hopes that is in the beauty of the summer, but maybe....just maybe....they might take a trip to Tx to visit too! :0)
This is Dad's favorite pic from the trip...apparently picking the raspberries is too taxing and tiring, so I went straight for the vine!!
This one is mom's...I am eating a JONATHAN apple...which is the very ones that she used to pick off the trees when she was a little girl...they were GOOD.

Beautiful Days
The past 3 days have been absolutely wonderful and we have been able to enjoy them some while trying to get ready for the big trip to Wisconsin. I get to go meet all the rest of my family. All 8 of my cousins and my aunts and uncles that I haven't met yet...it should be fun. I am excited to hopefully get to do some local things like go to the zoo and a children's museum up there that are both supposed to be very cool. I can't wait to see my Grandpa again and show him all the cool new things I can do.
Here are a couple shots from yesterday...I love playing outside and now that I am super fast I like to run after Cheddar in the yard. We play steal the ball from each other a LOT.
What breakfast would be complete without a banana? I am to the point now where I like to hold it on my own. I am too big for little bites and cut up pieces. It is a nice morning challenge for mom to clean up after as well. But at least now I really look like her "little monkey" in the mornings.
Please excuse the hair...I am in dire need of another cut, but apparently Dad wants this mess around up North??? Not sure why, but since he pays the bills, we listen.
:0)
We will try to update while we are gone, but it will be a while until we get home!

Ike ain't so bad
Dad and I got to go on our adventure today. I am not feeling very good. Either I am teething AGAIN or I have a bit of a cold. Mom and dad think most likely the later. I have been a bit puny today and didn't eat too much. I wasn't real jazzed about being out and about and got crabby by the end. Here I am looking at a creepy fish. Okay, this will have to wait...don't have it loaded up yet!
It was a dreary and rainy day, but we sure didn't get nearly the rain expected. It was a perfect day to feel a bit under the weather. It was fun to laze around. After my nap, dad and I built some towers with my mega blocks. Dad was not a huge fan of how I play with them, so mom reassured him that he could build his own tower after I went to bed.
We are tossing around the idea of having a play date/costume party with my friends. So just to make sure I had something to wear, mom busted out my costume to make sure it fit. She is pretty excited that we can parlay this thing into another year, because it actually fits this go round. My poor little brother will probably have to wear it next year too!! Best 4.99 spent at Old Navy! :0)

Early Mornings of late
Lately, I have been waking up very early and have shifted back to 2 naps a day because of it. SOOO...it is getting a bit frustrating for everyone trying to keep up with my schedule. Yesterday, Dad went into work much later than normal...he woke up at 6:30 instead of 4:30 because of a late hockey game. Well, to keep me busy and out of the way mom gave me some Cherios and let me sit on the ottoman. Obviously, I had to share my bounty with my buddy...so here we are eating a snack before breakfast while mom made lunch and coffee for dad. If you look closely, you can see the cut on my first fat lip. I biffed it on the dog bed and went face first into the pack n play while holding a bunch of toys.
Another one of my favorite weekend morning activities is getting up with dad and helping him grind coffee beans for the week. This has translated into me helping mom blend up smoothies and I am now the first mate of all things grinding and chopping. I even did the carrots and snap peas for dinner the other night in the food processor. I love gadgets and machines like dad!
Tomorrow I get to go on an adventure with Dad. We are going to a pet store in Plano...so maybe we can get some photos. I do love to burn some segments (especially on rainy days) at the pet store...so it should be fun.

Day at the Ranch
Circle R Ranch, that is for Dad's picnic. Good times. Lots of bar-b-que for lunch, a hot dog too, sand art, bubble garden, petting zoo, pony rides, hay rides, Dad's award, lots of friends and of course some snow cones!! I was a GREAT trooper. My favorite parts were the pony ride, running through the fields with Dad chasing me, and the empty koozie boxes...as the picture shows.
The weather was great and I am ready for BED big time. FUN day, not sure how tomorrow will top it, but we are supposed to go to some friends for the annual Cowboy game kick off and cook out. Hope I sleep a long time so I can maximize the fun tomorrow too! Life is good.

More of the same....
Not a ton going on to update, but some folks were getting anxious for pictures.
I have finished swim lessons and did really well for the youngest in class...we are thinking about doing some again early spring.
I have had lots of play time with friends: went to dinner with the Rogers' and they came to bounce and have cupcakes the other night, went to Lily's house and swam with her, some friends came over and bounced a bit, been taking lots of walks with Cheddar in the mornings, Gymboree, Library time, visiting folks and mom and dad are tutoring again, so that means things have gotten busy.
Mom went to a consignment sale and got me some new toys and have LOVED playing in my new kitchen. I have enjoyed played with mom's cowboy hat and other fun things like running through mom and dad's bathroom from the closet to Cheddar's crate and back.
I am off to play at the Wiggly Play Center with some friends! Dad's company picnic is tomorrow and we should get some fun shots because there is a LOT of kids stuff to do. So, hopefully it won't be such a long wait next time!
Have a good weekend.
